Programs
The Project disseminated the results of its research through several means.
- An overview text, by project director James
Hudnut-Beumler, brought together a variety of themes in the material and economic
history of American religion.
- A series of monographs, by the other participating scholars, pursued specialized studies under
the larger thematic umbrella.
- A conference for teachers of American religion, as well as
panels at academic conferences, created larger discussions around the topic.
- Works in progress and other submitted articles, included in this web sites electronic journal, shared the results of research with a
larger public.
- An occasional newsletter kept the projects
friends posted on recent research.
- A moderated electronic journal on the World Wide Web
allowed other interested scholars to share their research.
